Advance your academic career at the University of Ottawa as a Tenure-Track Professor in Indigenous Studies. This position is open to Indigenous scholars and focuses on diverse disciplinary backgrounds. The Institute of Indigenous Research and Studies is inviting applications for a Professor role, either at the Associate or Full level.

Candidates are sought with robust ties to Indigenous communities and a commitment to enhancing educational outcomes for Indigenous students. Your research should reflect significant engagements in areas such as gender, health, languages, and governance, among others. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct research resulting in peer-reviewed publications
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in English or French




- Supervise students and guide their academic journeys
- Participate actively in the Institute's administrative duties
- Build graduate programming and foster community relationships Requirements:
- Strong academic background in Indigenous Studies or related fields
- Proven research record with major funding grants
- Engagement with Indigenous communities and organizations
- Ability to teach in both English and French
