Job Title: Time & Attendance / HR & Safety Administrator

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support operational requirements as needed.
Location: Sturgeon County, Alberta
Position Summary
ONEX River is seeking a dependable and versatile Time & Attendance / HR & Safety Administrator to support our Sturgeon County fabrication facility. This is a hands-on position that will provide administrative support across time and attendance, human resources, safety, facility operations, and general office and shop needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee time and attendance records, supporting HR and safety administration, and assisting with the day-to-day organization and upkeep of the office and fabrication facility.
This position requires someone who is organized, reliable, willing to pitch in wherever needed, and comfortable working in an active industrial environment.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Collect and verify daily time sheets, crew hours, overtime, LOA, travel and other attendance information.
- Follow up with supervisors on missing or incorrect time.
- Track employee attendance and identify discrepancies or recurring issues.
- Work closely with supervisors and management to ensure employee time is submitted accurately and on time.
- Provide general HR administrative support, including maintaining forms, records, and documentation.
- Support the administration and tracking of employee training, certifications, tickets, and safety requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the Safety department, including maintaining safety records, documentation, inspections, training records, and other safety-related information.
- Help maintain organized and up-to-date records for employee qualifications, site requirements, and safety certifications.
- Assist with general office administration, filing, data entry, photocopying, scanning, and document management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas, offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, and other facility areas.
- Perform routine janitorial and housekeeping duties throughout the office and fabrication shop as required.
- Monitor and replenish office, janitorial, and facility supplies.
- Identify maintenance, housekeeping, safety, or facility issues and communicate them to the appropriate person.
- Assist with general shop and facility organization and upkeep.
- Provide backup and additional support wherever needed throughout the facility and office to help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive work workplace.
- Maintain compliance with ONEX River and client safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and other safety initiatives as required.
- Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in time and attendance, HR administration, safety administration, or a similar administrative support role.
- Experience working in an industrial, construction, oil and gas, or fabrication environment is considered a strong asset.
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience working with a HRIS, timekeeping, or employee management systems is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with employee records and timekeeping information.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and HR information.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to take on a variety of duties as required.
- Comfortable performing both administrative and hands-on facility support duties.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Previous experience with safety documentation and industrial safety requirements is considered an asset.
- WHMIS 2015.
- Physically capable of performing general janitorial, housekeeping, and facility support duties.
