Atlantic, Rexel Utility, Westburne, Nedco, LTL and Talley . We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager at our Edmonton, AB branch.
The Warehouse
Manager is in direct contact with the employees in the warehouse. He/she oversees the operations and directly supervises and coordinates the work of all the employees attached to the Hub warehouse. Oversee the operations of the Hub warehouse.
Prepare work schedules to ensure workflow meets or exceeds customer service standards. Proactively analyzes performance reports to continually improve warehouse productivity. Conducts daily meetings with warehouse team to discuss workplan and any current concerns/ problems to determine solutions.
Ensure employees are trained in proper processes and sub-processes, as well as equipment usage, material handling and maintenance. Develop policies and procedures to meet the requirements of Total Quality. Ensure proper health and safety practices are followed at all levels in the warehouse.
Ensures compliance with the Company policies,
and /or guidelines, maintains the layout of the shelving area and warehouse, taking into consideration productivity, inventory, turnover, size, weight and other relevant factors. Ensure customer service standards are met. Maintains internal business controls to ensure compliance with goals.
Determines purchasing requirement for equipment, machines and supplies. Arrange shipping schedules to meet the immediate needs of customers and branches. Prepare reports on commitment levels, Monitor and maintain warehouse KPI benchmarks and maintenance schedules.
Ensure all vehicles operate in full compliance with provincial and federal legislation. Prepare reports on all repairs and maintenance received on trucks, machinery and equipment. Ensures maintenance of facility is scheduled in compliance with company and legal standards to minimize emergency costs.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a comparable supervisory role within a Warehouse environment. Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to operate and train on reach and lift trucks.
