Step Up Fashion & Footwear is looking for a confident and dependable retail professional to join our team as Weekend Store Lead.

Our ideal candidate is a mature experienced salesperson who genuinely enjoys helping customers, building relationships and creating an exceptional shopping experience. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, support the sales team and keep the store running smoothly while working closely with and reporting directly to the owner.

Strong retail sales and customer-service experience are our main priorities. Previous experience with an online retail store, e-commerce or Shopify would be a valuable bonus, but it is not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Deliver warm, attentive and personalized customer service
- Help customers select clothing, footwear and accessories that suit their style, needs and budget
- Build customer relationships and encourage repeat business
- Actively contribute to the store’s sales goals
- Lead and support staff and volunteers during weekend shifts
- Help maintain a positive, respectful and productive work environment
- Open and close the store when required
- Process purchases, returns and payments accurately
- Follow store procedures for Shopify POS, Moneris and cash handling
- Maintain attractive, organized and well-stocked displays according to the store’s merchandising direction
- Receive, price, organize and replenish merchandise
- Report customer,



staffing or operational concerns directly to the owner
- Assist with online orders, product listings or other basic online retail duties when required and when experience permits

QUALIFICATIONS

- Solid retail sales and customer-service experience is required
- Previous key-holder, supervisory or retail leadership experience is preferred
- A natural ability to connect with customers and provide helpful, honest service
- Dependable, organized and able to remain calm during busy periods
- Positive attitude and ability to work respectfully as part of a team
- Comfortable taking responsibility while following store policies and direction
- Good judgment, attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Comfortable using—or willing to learn—Shopify POS and Moneris
- Fashion, footwear or accessory experience is an asset
- Online retail store, e-commerce or Shopify experience would be a bonus
- Regular weekend availability is required

SCHEDULE The position is three to four days per week. Regular Saturday and Sunday availability is required, with additional shifts generally scheduled on Thursday and/or Friday.

COMPENSATION

$20–$23 per hour. The starting wage will be determined according to directly related retail, sales and leadership experience.
