Make an impact as a Youth Support Worker at YWCA Prince Albert Inc. This part-time role focuses on client support, crisis management, and life skills training for youth. As part of a permanent team, you'll be guaranteed 20 hours weekly at the Central Avenue Shelter.
Your role will emphasize emotional support and effective advocacy for youth, fostering their independence while maintaining a positive, clean, and secure workplace. Specialized experience with clients facing mental health challenges is essential to this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for residents' transitioning into independence
- Perform room and bag checks for safety
- Complete routine and major cleaning duties
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Respond to crises as they arise
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License required
- Experience in crisis management with vulnerable clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Capability to complete heavy lifting tasks
- Must pass Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Checks
