Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, loving and patient care for two young boys, ages 4 and 1.
- Support my 4-year-old, who is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum, with his daily routine, communication and learning.
- Assist with simple homeschooling and structured learning activities provided by me.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks and assist with feeding as needed.
- Plan age-appropriate indoor activities, sensory play, reading, crafts and educational play.
- Take the boys outside for walks, playground time and other outdoor activities.
- Help maintain a calm, predictable and safe daily routine.
- Assist with toileting/potty training and diaper changes.
- Keep the children’s play, learning and eating areas tidy.
- Communicate with me throughout the day about meals, activities, progress and any concerns.

Skills & Requirements

- Patient, nurturing, calm and genuinely enjoys working with young children.
- Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable caring for a non-verbal autistic child.
- Experience with autism,



special needs, speech/communication support, or early childhood education is a strong asset.
- Able to follow routines and instructions while also taking initiative when needed.
- Comfortable supporting basic preschool-level homeschooling and developmental activities.
- Good communication skills and willing to work closely with me as a team.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- References and a explicit Vulnerable Sector/Police Record Check preferred.
