Responsibilities

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with either citizenship, P.R status, or a valid work permit
- Prepare food items efficiently, following established recipes and safety guidelines to ensure quality and consistency
- Serve customers promptly at the counter, providing friendly and attentive customer service to enhance their experience
- Operate POS systems for order processing, payments, and cash handling with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift
- Opening and closing store duties




- Assist with food handling duties including wrapping, packaging, and storing ingredients in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support the overall operation by managing quick service demands in a fast-food or café setting while demonstrating excellent time management skills

Experience

- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial, but will also provide training
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing are essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is highly desirable
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or restaurant setting will help you succeed in this role
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment are key to excelling as a Food Counter Attendant
