Duties

- Prepare and assemble sushi using traditional techniques, ensuring consistency and quality in every roll and nigiri
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, cooking rice, and creating various sushi styles
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining experience
- Assist with kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing inventory, and cleaning workstations regularly
- Serve guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing explanations of menu items and accommodating special requests




- Support the overall food service process by coordinating with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow sanitation protocols diligently to uphold cleanliness standards in the kitchen and storage areas

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Solid knowledge of sushi making techniques and presentation skills
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food safety practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior restaurant experience is highly desirable; knowledge of Japanese cuisine is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety regulations and proper hygiene standards
