SBUDDY HOME Renovation is looking for an experienced Carpentry Contractor to supervise renovation projects and complete qualified carpentry and cabinet work. The successful candidate must be able to read drawings, coordinate workers, manage materials and maintain high standards of workmanship and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications.
- Supervise workers, apprentices and renovation projects.
- Coordinate and schedule daily construction activities.
- Establish efficient methods to meet project schedules.
- Resolve onsite work problems and provide technical guidance.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and workmanship.
- Prepare specifications for custom kitchen cabinets and vanities.
- Complete cabinet installation, framing, doors, trim, millwork and finishing carpentry.
- Measure installation areas and verify dimensions accurately.
- Requisition and order materials, equipment and supplies.
- Set up and safely operate tools and equipment.
- Train workers or arrange required training.
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are followed.
- Prepare project and production reports.
- Assist with recruiting, training and evaluating workers.
- Coordinate with customers, designers, suppliers and other trades.

Qualifications

- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of relevant carpentry experience.




- Strong experience with kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities.
- Ability to read construction drawings and cabinet plans.
- Experience supervising workers and coordinating projects.
- Good knowledge of construction tools, materials and safety practices.
- Ability to perform accurate measurements and quality-control inspections.
- English communication skills are required.
- Vietnamese language ability is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
