Job description:

Visionfirst Optometry is looking for an optometric assistant to join our 10 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is friendly, hardworking, efficient and detail oriented. This opening is for our West Kelowna location - but travel between locations may be required.

We have a bright and vibrant team and are looking for another outstanding personality to add to our friendly and professional dynamic. Excellent customer service, precision and attention to detail, an interest in fashion, a knack for sales, and a desire to learn and excel in the eye care industry are key qualities for our next team member. We are looking for someone who is flexible, teachable, a self starter, and a team player.

Responsibilities

- Greet and assist patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcome environment
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records systems




- Provide support during eye examinations and assist with patient care.
- Educate patients on optical products and services (such as glasses and contact lenses)
- Perform pre-testing, such as OCT and retinal imaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized office space, adhering to medical office protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall patient experience and care.

Qualifications

- Preferred but not required - Prior experience in the optical and/or optometric field.
- Willing to train the right candidate.
