Our team combines practical fabrication experience with engineering expertise to deliver high-quality projects from concept through installation. We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Manager / Estimator to join our team and help support our continued growth.

Position Summary

The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for developing project estimates, managing awarded projects, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and supporting fabrication activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys both the technical and commercial aspects of project execution and is looking to build a long-term career with a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

- Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for fabrication and equipment projects.
- Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop budgets, schedules, and proposal documentation.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimating phase.
- Assist in developing project execution strategies.

Project Management

- Manage multiple projects from award through completion.
- Coordinate activities between engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and installation teams.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Track project costs and identify potential deviations from budget.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and progress reports.
- Manage scope changes and support change order development.




- Participate in client meetings and maintain positive customer relationships.

Fabrication & Operations Support

- Work closely with shop personnel to support fabrication activities.
- Assist with project planning and material procurement.
- Monitor project progress and assist in resolving technical or scheduling challenges.
- Support quality control and project closeout activities.

Qualifications

Required

- 3–10 years of experience in project management, estimating, fabrication, construction, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment.
- Robust organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license.

Preferred

- Experience in industrial fabrication, structural steel, forestry, mining, or material handling industries.
- Technical diploma, engineering technology diploma or trade qualification.
- Experience with project scheduling and cost tracking.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar software.
- Understanding of welding, machining, structural steel, and mechanical systems.

Location

This position is based at our facility in British Columbia and may involve occasional travel to customer sites and project locations.
