Resilience First is a specialist trauma-informed service supporting first responders, military members, veterans, and their families. We're growing our team and looking for a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) who wants to specialize in trauma work with this population — without giving up the stability of a larger practice behind them.

This is a contractor role with real flexibility: build the caseload and schedule that works for you, backed by a full referral pipeline, an established brand, and a large multidisciplinary team for consultation and support. If you'd like more structure and predictability alongside your specialty work, we can also offer a hybrid caseload split between Resilience First and our sister practice, J&K; Mental Health.

What you'll do

- Provide individual (and where applicable, couple or family) psychotherapy to first responders, military members, veterans, and their families
- Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment tailored to the operational stress and occupational culture of this population
- Build your clinical skill and cultural competency in working with first responder/military communities, with support from senior clinicians
- Maintain transparent, timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with a large, supportive multidisciplinary team through regular case consultation

What we're looking for

- Registered and in good standing as an RP with CRPO, or an RSW with the OCSWSSW
- Master's degree in psychotherapy, social work, counselling, or a related clinical field
- Genuine interest in trauma-focused practice and in developing cultural competency for work with first responders, military members, veterans, and their families
- Comfortable working independently while staying engaged with a team
- Able to work in-person in Kingston, ON
- Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain it)

An asset, not a requirement

- Training or experience in trauma-specific modalities (e.g., EMDR, CPT, CBT-T, somatic or attachment-based approaches)
- Lived or professional experience with first responder, military, or veteran communities
