Custom Comfort is looking for a Senior Accountant to help support our growing group of home service companies.

Reporting to the Controller, you’ll take ownership of financial reporting and balance sheet accuracy across Custom Comfort, Walker, Francis, and HoldCo, while supervising our Bookkeeper.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving processes, using technology and automation, and helping build a finance function that can scale with the business.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare monthly financial statements across four entities
- Own month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate balance sheets and intercompany accounts
- Support consolidated reporting, budgets, forecasts, and KPI reporting
- Supervise and support the Bookkeeper across AP, AR, and payroll
- Review payroll prior to submission
- Assist with year-end audit preparation
- Support acquisition due diligence and financial integration
- Improve and automate accounting processes using ERP, Excel, AI, and workflow tools
- Help standardize financial processes as the group continues to grow

What You Bring

- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA completed or in progress is an asset
- Strong month-end close, financial statement, and balance sheet reconciliation skills




- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems
- Multi-entity or consolidated accounting experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Confidence working independently in a fast-moving environment

Tech matters here. We’re looking for someone comfortable learning and using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Power Query, ERP automation, Zapier, n8n, or similar technologies to make accounting processes better and more efficient.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
