Senior Forensic Accountant – CPA (Litigation & Dispute Support)

Lynch & Associates Inc. is a boutique forensic accounting firm specializing in litigation support, financial investigations, economic loss quantification, and business valuation.

We are seeking an experienced CPA with a background in forensic accounting and litigation support to join our growing practice on a flexible, part-time contract basis.

Our engagements include matrimonial and family law disputes, fraud investigations, personal injury and economic loss claims, shareholder and commercial disputes, business interruption claims, and other complex financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, bank records, accounting records, corporate records, and other financial information.
- Conduct forensic accounting analysis and identify financial discrepancies, unusual transactions, and potential irregularities.
- Assist with fraud investigations, asset tracing, and analysis of suspected misappropriation of funds.
- Review financial disclosure and analyze income and other financial issues in matrimonial and family law matters.
- Prepare economic loss reports, including past and future income loss.
- Prepare guildeline income valuation reports and forensic accounting reports for matrimonial cases.
- Analyze and quantify business interruption and other financial losses.
- Perform financial analysis in shareholder disputes, commercial litigation, and damages claims.
- Prepare detailed financial schedules, calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with drafting forensic accounting and expert reports.
- Review and analyze opposing expert reports and financial calculations where required.




- Manage assigned engagements and meet project deadlines.
- Work closely with the Principal and other members of the forensic accounting team.

Qualifications

- CPA designation required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
- Previous experience in forensic accounting, litigation support, investigative accounting, or financial loss quantification strongly preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Matrimonial and family law disputes
- Fraud investigations and asset tracing
- Personal injury and economic loss quantification
- Shareholder disputes
- Commercial litigation and damages
- Business interruption and insurance claims
- CFE, CBV, CFF, or similar designation is an asset but not required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional report writing.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Experience working with lawyers, insurers, or litigation matters is an asset.

Work Arrangement

- Part-time / Full-time
- Remote / work from home
- Flexible working hours
- Approximately 10–40 hours per week, depending on caseload and availability

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time, subcontracting

Pay: $60,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
