A a boutique solo law practice in Edmonton, is seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Conveyancer / Legal Assistant to join our team.

About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy conveyancer to manage residential real estate transactions from opening to closing, in a fast-paced solo-practice environment.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience as a residential conveyancer / real estate legal assistant
- Experience with new condo and builder files is a strong asset
- Commercial real estate conveyancing experience is an asset
- Solid knowledge of Alberta real estate conveyancing procedures
- Comfortable and proficient with technology, including legal practice management software (LEAP experience preferred) and Closer
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programs and systems
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities





- Manage residential (and commercial, where applicable) real estate transactions (purchases, sales, mortgages/refinances)
- Prepare and review legal documents, title searches, and closing packages
- Liaise with clients, lenders, other law firms, and real estate agents
- Coordinate closings and post-closing matters
- Provide reception/front-office support (answering phones, greeting clients, general office duties) as this is a solo-practice office

Details

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Edmonton, AB (in-office)
- Compensation: Based on experience
