RJames Western Star (a division of RJames Management Group Ltd.) offers sales, maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and semi-trucks. We are seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at our Calgary shop located at 3555 46 AVE SE.

DUTIES

- Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting,



overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions
- Working from repair manuals, diagnostic equipment and online resources
- Complete detailed, clear and concise work orders

EXPECTATIONS

- Must have a ‘Fix It Right First Time’ mentality
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Communicate with service advisor if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the agreed upon timeframe
- Keep shop area neat, clean and safe and reports machinery defects or malfunctions
