Flowpoint Environmental Systems designs and builds industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment equipment used across North America. We supply complete operating facilities — mechanical equipment, electrical controls, and remote monitoring — not just components.
The Role
We are hiring an Automation / PLC Programmer to support programming, testing, startup, and ongoing customer support of treatment systems. This role involves field work and operator interaction. Allen-Bradley experience is an asset but not required.
What You Will Do
· Modify PLC programs and HMI interfaces
· Perform system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure optimal performance
· Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
· Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed
· Configure networking/communications, including Ethernet/IP and Modbus devices
Requirements
· Engineering Technology diploma/degree
· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
· Professional team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong troubleshooting mindset
· Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
· A positive, “can-do” attitude
· International commissioning travel required
· Must live within commuting distance of Edmonton
· No relocation or sponsorship available
Assets
· Allen-Bradley PLCs, CODESYS, IEC 61131-3 PLC Programming Languages
· Water or industrial process experience
· Instrumentation and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) setup and configuration

Pay: $75,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
