About the position

The London Ledger Bar + Grill is hiring a dependable Line Cook who takes pride in preparing quality food and keeping an organized kitchen. Our menu includes fish and chips, grilled chicken, wings, appetizers, and a breakfast buffet.

You’ll work with the kitchen and service teams to prepare consistent dishes, maintain food safety standards, and keep orders moving during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Set up and stock cooking stations, including preparing vegetables, proteins, sauces, and breakfast items.
- Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Coordinate orders with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure accurate, timely service.
- Follow food safety procedures for cooking, storage, labelling, stock rotation, and buffet holding temperatures.
- Handle allergy requests carefully and follow procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
- Maintain clean, sanitized workstations, utensils,



and equipment.
- Assist with inventory checks, restocking, waste reduction, and opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a line cook or in a commercial kitchen preferred.
- Familiarity with grill and fryer operation and basic food preparation.
- Ability to manage multiple orders while maintaining food quality.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safe food handling.
- Dependable attendance, clear communication, and a cooperative approach to teamwork.
- Valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certification, or a B.C.-recognized equivalent, required before the first shift.
