Construction General LabourerOverview

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated full-time Construction General Labourer to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will work alongside skilled carpenters and other tradespeople, assisting with construction, renovation, demolition, and general labour projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working with tools, learning new skills, and contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpentry staff with construction, repairs, and renovation projects
- Support skilled carpenters with day-to-day tasks and project work
- Assist with demolition and preparation of work areas
- Perform basic carpentry tasks and minor repairs under direction
- Move, organize, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist with site setup and cleanup
- Operate basic hand and power tools as required
- Assist with painting and other finishing work
- Perform general cleaning and debris removal
- Maintain clean, organized, and protected work areas
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions when identified
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, home renovation, or general labour is preferred




- Experience with basic hand and power tools is an asset
- Willingness to learn new skills and assist skilled tradespeople
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely and efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Physically able to perform general labour duties, including lifting and moving materials
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Basic set of tools suitable for general construction work
- Basic computer and smartphone skills for communication and work-related tasks
- Technical trade certification or training is considered an asset
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, as required

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
