Lead policy advocacy for First Nations as a Policy and Intergovernmental Relations Officer in Winnipeg, MB. This full time position emphasizes strategic planning, policy analysis, and robust government relations.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief of Staff, coordinating policy initiatives and supporting informed decision-making. The role requires a high standard of research and analysis to respond to emerging issues and opportunities within governmental frameworks.

Your collaboration across departments is essential in advancing the organization's mandate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the organization’s Strategic Plan
- Analyze the effects of legislation on First Nations
- Foster relationships with government and Indigenous organizations




- Prepare high-level briefing materials for executives
- Monitor and report on organizational performance indicators

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred
- Minimum five years in organizational planning or policy roles
- Experience with Indigenous governance is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- High professionalism and integrity in all dealings
