Position Summary:

Hatch is seeking a Geotechnical or Structural co-op student in our Hydropower & Dams Group for a position starting in January 2027. Reporting to the Saskatchewan Hydropower & Dams Regional Manager, you will support local and national projects working from our Saskatoon Office.

Responsibilities:

- Providing engineering support for Hydropower & Dams projects in pre-feasibility through to detailed engineering, dam safety and operational support
- Assist in developing and completing analyses (slope stability, seepage) and quantity estimates
- Supporting various field assignments including geotechnical investigations, data processing, and report writing
- For structural:
- Assist in completing structural analysis and design calculations for concrete and structural steel
- Supporting the production of reports, technical drawings, and specifications
- Supporting senior staff in business development and marketing to existing and new Hatch clients in the hydropower sector, preparation of expressions of interest and proposals

Education and Experience:

- Pursuing a degree in Geotechnical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

- Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they applytoengineering problems and projects
- Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal English communicationskills

Compensation:

Range: $26.00 - $33.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location. In addition to base pay, our total rewards package may include performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and other programs designed to support your well-being and growth.
