They are responsible for managing front desk operations, which include greeting patients, scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries. Their role ensures patients feel welcomed and informed. In addition they also handle a variety of critical tasks that facilitate efficient office management.Position Type: Full-timeRole and ResponsibilitiesAppointment Scheduling : Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and consultations.Patient Care: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage patient check-in and walk patients to their exams and change them according to their exam.Administrative Tasks: Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Maintain and update patient records and databases (MRIS).Billing/Insurance: Process patient billing and payment transactions. Verify insurance information and assist with claims submissions.Incoming/Outgoing Faxes: Including sending appointment requests, attaching requisitions to future appointments, managing consent forms for report releases, and sending outgoing faxes as requested.Communication: Relay messages between patients and healthcare providers. Provide information regarding office policies, procedures and services.Compliance & Confidentiality: Adhere to provincial, federal and MIC privacy and confidentiality regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.



Ensure compliance with medical office policies and procedures.Maintain a clean, organized and skilled reception area and change room area.Qualifications and Education RequirementsEducation: High School diploma (required), completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Office Assistant program (preferred)Experience: Experience as a Medical Receptionist (preferred)Skills : Ability to complete repetitive tasks in a fast paced, high-pressure environmentExcellent patient care and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsClinic settingExposure to patients with various medical conditions, requiring adherence to infection protocolsMay be required to support other sitesProlonged periods of sittingCore CompetenciesAttention to Detail : Maintain a high level of attention to detail while verifying and inputting information.Effective Communication : Demonstrates clear, concise verbal and written communication, adapting to different audiences and contexts to ensure understanding.Listening Skills : Actively listen with empathy, provide appropriate feedback and respect others' perspectives.Teamwork & Collaborations : Works collaboratively with teams, ensuring effective communication for optimal patient outcomes.Conflict Resolution : Identifies and resolves conflicts constructively, using de-escalation, negotiation and mediation skills to maintain positive relationships.Problem Solving : Applies critical thinking to identify issues and develop proactive, creative solutions.Professionalism & Ethics : Displays a professional attitude, adhering to ethical standards, and demonstrates accountability and reliability.Confidentiality : Protects sensitive information, adhering to confidentiality agreements and data protection policies.Integrity and Work Ethic : Upholds honesty, takes responsibility for tasks,
