The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-oriented skilled:Casual Stabilization Support WorkerAs part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Stabilization Support Worker assists in the holistic, short-term recovery of mental health clients who are in attendance at the Community-Based Stabilization Unit, by providing a warm, welcoming, therapeutic environment.ResponsibilitiesOversight of client's activities of daily livingFood preparation and housekeepingParaprofessional verbal engagement of the client on an individual and / or group basisProviding resources to community supportsParaprofessional client mental health educationProvide follow-up within the community as appropriate within the scope of this position descriptionQualificationsApproved Personal Support Worker Program or equivalentCurrent CPRExperience working with individuals with mental illness or substance use preferredAbility to work independentlyCommitment to work days and weekends, twelve (12)



hour shiftsPossess a valid Ontario driver's license and have unlimited access to a vehicle/2 million liability insurance; Must provide clean drivers abstract.Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of BehaviourAbility to perform the essential duties of the jobDemonstrates DRHC Core Values; accountability, integrity, humility, compassion and respectProof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hireThis is a unionized position.
