National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary hospital team.We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working as part of a cooperative team, and is committed to providing an excellent experience for both pets and their owners.About the RoleAs a Veterinary Technician, you will work closely with our veterinarians and support staff to provide high-quality medical care to our patients. You will play an important role in patient care, client communication, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the hospital.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgeriesObtain and record patient histories and vital signsCollect and process laboratory samplesPerform blood draws, catheter placement, IV fluid administration, and other technical proceduresMonitor patients under anesthesia and during recoveryAssist with radiographs, diagnostic testing, and laboratory proceduresAdminister medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarianProvide appropriate patient care and monitoring throughout hospitalizationMaintain accurate and detailed medical recordsEducate clients regarding medications, treatments, nutrition, preventative care, and follow-up instructionsAssist with surgical preparation, cleaning, and sterilizationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environmentProvide compassionate support to clients during difficult situations, including end-of-life careWork collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, reception,
