We are Sila, a next-generation battery materials company.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and characterize chemical mixtures and other materials to be used in lithium-ion batteriesAssemble lithium-ion batteries and test them on battery cyclers, which include heated chambersFabricate mechanical fixtures, undertake tool preventative maintenance, and perform cable managementFollow standard operating procedures while still continuously looking for ways to improve processes and operationsWear PPE for work, which includes a full respiratorAccurately record work and keep data updated in an online databaseManage inventory and maintain a tidy and effective work areaWork collaboratively with other Technicians, Research Associates, Engineers, and ScientistsEffectively communicate results to troubleshoot, correct, and prevent issuesOnce fully trained and qualified, work 12 hour shift rotation schedule to support 12 hr/7 day operationsWork overtime hours if requested and approved by SupervisorRequirementsAs a Technician in the Battery Operations group, you will be a part of the team that converts Sila materials into lithium-ion battery concepts by assembling and testing prototype batteries. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include perks, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
