Salary: Circa £48,880 depending on skills and experience + overtime Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £62,400 Basic with further training and experience Company Van, all PPE, tools, and fuel card provided Permanent: Full Time, 37 hours per week with flexibility for part timeX2 Positions, Covering areas that include but not limited to; Peterborough, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Lincolnshire, Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester What you will be doing

This is a fantastic chance to join a newly created Proactive Screens Team, helping shape the future of inlet screen maintenance across Anglian Water. Reporting directly to the Proactive Screens Manager, you’ll play a key role in improving the reliability, safety and performance of critical Water Recycling assets. Working across treatment works and pumping stations, you’ll lead by example, provide technical expertise and support the development of technicians within the team. This role offers the opportunity to work on specialist mechanical equipment, influence maintenance standards and help establish a new proactive approach to asset reliability across the region. You will also be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities, proactively managing workloads and helping to control maintenance backlogs across the asset base. Working closely with suppliers, manufacturers and specialist contractors, you’ll support the development of spares strategies, improve parts availability and build solid working relationships that help drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across the service. Key tasks

Develop, encourage and foster good and safe working practices and work in accordance with the Company’s safety rules at all times Manage available resource to ensure all maintenance work is delivered within agreed level of service.



Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all actions are achieved on service completion Drive continuous improvement of process and service through implementation of new ideas/equipment Provide expert support to monitor and coach field resources in techniques/equipment used for the service and maintenance of treatment processes and asset What does it take to be a Senior Operations Technician?

Full driving licence Ideally a robust Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering background, possessing the necessary NVQ/C&G; Level 3 qualifications in that field (Essential) Demonstrate experience and awareness of Health and Safety within an operational environment Ability to adapt communication style (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrate customer service skills and ability to deal with customers in an empathetic and professional manner Knowledge or understanding of inlet screens and a basic understanding of water recycling processes would be beneficial Experience with Coaching and mentoring team members In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions Due to harness weight limits, your maximum weight cannot be in excess of 113 kilograms, and you will be expected to complete relevant occupational health checks including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV) Benefits
