We provide community-based, mental health, and developmental services across Northwestern Ontario in partnership with families, schools, child care centres, and community organizations.About the RoleAs a Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) or Communication Assistant, you will work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services. You will implement therapy plans, support program delivery, and help create engaging materials for children, families and care providers. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will:Support speech-language and/or hearing screening activities.Administer treatment plans developed by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).Assist with client programming and provide informal documentation and reporting.Prepare therapy materials, home programs, and resources for families and classrooms.Support communication between clinicians, families, and community partners.Participate in team meetings and training as required.Travel within communities to support services in homes, schools, and community settings as needed.Perform other duties as required.What We're Looking ForEducation & ExperiencePreferred: Diploma in Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) program.Alternate Consideration: A related diploma/degree (e.G. Early Childhood Education, Health Sciences, Social Services, or equivalent)
