The Kitimat Community Development Centre is seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Care Worker to engage with youth and families effectively. This role focuses on trauma-informed care and aims to foster positive outcomes for children up to 19 years old.In this permanent part time position, you will provide direct support through consultations and interventions tailored to individual needs. You will collaborate with families and fellow team members, ensuring that every child achieves their goals while enjoying a work/life balance in a supportive environment amidst Northern BC's natural beauty.Key Responsibilities:Meet clients and implement scheduled service plansCommunicate and collaborate with children and familiesDocument progress in reports and notesConsult monthly with the Program ManagerAttend necessary team meetings as requestedRequirements:Relevant Human Service Worker certificationValid driver's license and vehicle accessBasic First Aid certificationSuccessfully pass a Criminal Record CheckExperience with neurodiverse children and local cultural sensitivityMake a meaningful impact while embracing a lifestyle enriched by outdoor activities in Kitimat.
