Purpose: The Pharmacy Assistant Cleanroom supports safe, accurate, and productive pharmacy operations through staging, preparation, sterile and non-sterile compounding support activities, inventory coordination, cleanroom support, and documentation activities. This role performs delegated technical tasks under the supervision and direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist, and/or Registered Pharmacy Technician in accordance with Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) requirements, NAPRA standards, company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance requirements. The Pharmacy Assistant may participate in delegated compounding activities only after successful completion of required training, competency assessments, and authorization by pharmacy management. Job Responsibilities: Perform delegated sterile and non-sterile compounding support activities under supervision and in accordance with approved SOPs, training, and competency requirements. Stage, gather, disinfect, organize, and prepare medications, ingredients, supplies, and equipment required for compounding activities. Aseptically prepare sterile products, IV admixtures, TPNs, specialty preparations, and other compounded products as delegated and authorized. Prepare cytotoxic, hazardous, and non-hazardous compounded products in accordance with safety requirements and training. Perform calculations, measurements, ingredient preparation, and material assembly required for compounding processes under supervision. Assemble, label, package, and organize compounded preparations for pharmacist or Registered Pharmacy Technician final verification. Support Pharmacists and Registered Pharmacy Technicians during in-process checks, documentation reviews, and workflow activities. Disinfect medications, supplies, and materials using approved sporicidal and disinfecting agents before
