Crosskey Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Locomotive Engineer to support rail operations on a shortline railway. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of locomotives and the movement, switching, and placement of railcars on the line.We are looking to fill a variety of employment arrangements, including full-time, part-time, casual, and contract positions.Responsibilities-Operate locomotive and work safely and efficiently in both yard and road operations.-Operate both freight and passenger trains.-Perform train movements and general switching in coordination with the Conductor.-Perform daily locomotive inspections.-Maintain strict adherence to operating rules, operating procedures,



and regulatory requirements.Qualifications-Previous experience as a Locomotive Engineer is required.-Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify basic mechanical issues and support troubleshooting efforts.-Solid communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.-Effective radio communication skills.-Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.-Physically capable of climbing, walking uneven surfaces, and working in all weather conditions.-Applicants are required to hold a valid drivers license.-Employment is conditional upon passing CROR rules examination and railway medical.What We Offer-Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
