A large firm with offices in downtown Montreal is currently looking for a legal assistant to join its labour and employment law practice. Role and Responsibilities of the Position: Provide day-to-day assistance to lawyers; Management of the agenda and legal deadlines; Transcription of dictations, drafting, revision and finalization of various legal documents and procedures in labor law and litigation, under the direction of lawyers; Make timeentries and invoicing; Proofreading; Email management; Preparation of proceedings and files for hearings; Management of the customer database in Interaction; Maintaining the filing system and filing documents according to appropriate procedures. Application of internal procedures. Education and experience required: Diploma of Secondary Vocational Studies (DVS) or Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Office Automation, with a legal specialization; 5 years of experience in legal secretarial work; Proficiency in Word and very good knowledge of the MsOffice suite; Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills,



both in English and French; Attentionto detail; Reliability, professionalism, punctuality, team spirit, discretion; Initiative, resourcefulness and sense of responsibility; Ability to manage emergencies and prioritize tasks; Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously; Excellentinterpersonal skills; Availability to work overtime, when required. Job Perks: Hybrid mode, 4 days in the office. Vacation weeks/year: 3 weeks to 5 weeks, depending on experience. Paid overtime. Participation in an RRSP after 1 year, a 4% pension plan that increases to 4.5% after 5 years, 5% after 10 years and 5.5% after 15 years. The employer contributes even if the employee does not contribute. Group insurance paid at 100% from day 1 for dental and prescription drugs and after 3 months for disability.
