If you have a strong foundation in the technical aspects of building systems and thrive in a dynamic, rapid-paced environment, this exciting opportunity is perfect for you!RoleDutiesAs a Building Operator, your role will be to perform day to day preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for extensive Building Automation Systems as well as customer service duties to ensure the seamless operation of the property by:Planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance and repairs for electrical/mechanical equipment and maintaining activity recordsMonitoring and managing Building Automation System to prevent malfunctions, addressing issues promptly including tenant requestsResponding quickly to service calls for electrical/mechanical equipment, ensuring work quality and follow-upInspecting/troubleshooting Fire Protection System, handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical problems adhering to Building CodeMaintaining clean/organized mechanical roomsSupport building operations including inventory, and safe equipment operationOther duties as assignedRequirementsTo excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are quick thinking with great communication and attention to detail If this opportunity sounds interesting to you,



you likely have the following attributes:Secondary School diploma or equivalent is required. College Diploma in a related field an asset4th or 5th Power Engineering Ticket, or Fireman's Power Engineering Ticket2-3 years' experience in a similar role preferredWorking knowledge of heating and cooling systemsWHMIS certification an assetKnowledge of Healthy and Safety legislationWorking knowledge of Fire and Building codesProficient with Microsoft Office programsValid Driver's LicenseKnowledge of Seimens automation, central plant and chiller operation, ability to read and understand blueprintsAbility to work flexible/extended hoursCompetenciesCommunicate clearly, concisely, professionally and convey active listening and opennessBuild positive relationships and demonstrate commitment, effort and a "take charge" attitudeProduce accurate work with attention to detail and consistently meet deadlinesTake ownership for actions, accept constructive criticism and make the necessary changes to behaviourOvercome obstacles to get the job done, identify problems and recommend solutionsSee change positively and adapt quickly to change in work requirementsValuesRespect: Value diverse perspectives, experiences and talents; treat others the way you would want to be treatedEmpowerment:
