Student, New Technology IntroductionNumber of Positions: 1Term: September 26, 2026 to December 31, 2026Schedule: 37.5 hours per weekLocation: Ottawa, Test Lab (Hybrid)Salary: $18.15 to $30.30/hourly rate dependent on level of educationLanguage Requirement: English EssentialEligibility List: CATSA will use this opportunity to establish a list of candidates eligible to fill subsequent vacancies. The eligibility list may be used to staff other student positions with similar responsibilities and qualifications.Summary of responsibilities:Provide support for testing and evaluation activities at the test facility; Provide supportfor testing and evaluation of hold-baggage screening (HBS) system at airports; Collect and analyze data; Generate test reports; Update the testfacility test object and stimulant inventory.What you need to succeed:To qualify for the position, you must have:Enrolled in a college diploma or a university degree in the field of engineering, computer science, technology,
or in a specialty relevant to the duties of the position; Experience withcollecting and organizing data, and writing test procedures and test reports; andProficiencyin the use of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Skills and Abilities:Effective communication skills (both orally and in writing); Good research and writing skills; Professional approach to work; Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and organize work efficiently; Ability to workwell in team, independently and under pressure.To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:Be eligible to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance; Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; andBe returning to full-time or part time studies in the next academic year.
