Make an impact as an Indigenous Resource Liaison Specialist with the Ontario Public Service. Drive sustainable resource management initiatives through collaboration with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.This role is part of the Regional Operations Division within the Ministry of Natural Resources. You will utilize your expertise in Indigenous history and resource management to promote understanding and participation in key operational strategies. Your work will significantly influence community relationship-building and consultations.Key Responsibilities:Foster cooperation among local Indigenous communitiesAdvise on the ministry's Duty to ConsultLead sustainable resource management initiativesCoordinate outreach for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous groupsManage budgets and program expendituresRequirements:Valid class G driver's license requiredFlexible to after-hours work when necessaryExpertise in community development principlesStrong negotiation and leadership skillsExperience in research and project managementEmpower community engagement and sustainable resource practices in your role with the Ontario Public Service.
