Break through at Brock.Post End Date: September 7, 2026 at 11:59 PMThis job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the Administrative Professional (Employee Group)About the Role:Reporting to the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies, the Graduate Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating graduate program operations across recruitment, admissions, academic advising, program delivery, and experiential education. The role ensures a high-quality student experience while supporting faculty and maintaining compliance with academic policies and standards. The incumbent sources experiential education opportunities that support the goals and curriculum of the faculty. The Graduate Program Coordinator is further responsible for collaborating with and supporting the graduate program with experiential education planning, design, implementation, and evaluation, and for achieving synergies and creating/sharing best practices with peers across campus and community organizations.Develop, coordinate and manage experiential education opportunities, affiliation agreements, placements, practica and community partnerships, including supporting related communications, records management and program development initiativesIdentify, cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners to provide appropriate experiential education (EE) opportunitiesConnect with community partners, both internal and external, to determine expectations for EE and facilitate connectionsIdentify, develop and coordinate a cohesive approach to partnership development and management, including streamlined and efficient communication processes in collaboration with the Graduate Program Director (GPD) and peers in the Faculty and UniversityCoordinate administrative delivery of graduate programs and ensures effective implementation of academic processes, compliance, and data integrityCoordinate program operations, including course scheduling, registration support, academic milestone tracking, and grade submissionAdminister key academic processes as applicable, ensuring adherence to policies, timelines, and quality standardsSupports the end-to-end graduate recruitment and admissions lifecycle to ensure a high-quality applicant pool and effective, compliant admissions processesDelivers recruitment activities, including outreach,



presentations, and information sessions (in-person and virtual), to attract qualified applicantsAdminister admissions processes, including issuing offers/declines and maintaining accurate applicant records and dataProvide comprehensive academic advising and proactive student support to promote progression, engagement, and timely degree completionAdvise prospective and current students on program requirements, course selection, policies, and academic pathwaysBuild and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, academic leaders, and campus partners to coordinate student support, exchange information, and resolve issues impacting student progressionAct as an ambassador for Brock and the Faculty at community functions, events and when working with community partners, to build relationships and respond to issues pertaining to EEIdentify gaps or inefficiencies in curriculum, processes, or student supports, and recommend practical improvements to enhance student success, retention, and service deliveryThis position requires flexibility to work outside of traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support students across different time zones and to meet program, recruitment, and operational needs.Key Skills and Experience:A degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience would be consideredKnowledge of academic advising principles, models, and counselling approachesKnowledge of the theoretical, practical and pedagogical aspects of experiential education, including learning outcomes and assessmentKnowledge of related internal and external policies governing experiential educationKnowledge of national, provincial and/or regional community organizations and non-profit managementUnderstanding of graduate curriculum, course requirements, prerequisites, and scheduling within the FacultyKnowledge of university policies, regulations, strategic priorities, programs, services, and systemsKnowledge of student placement safety requirementsProficiency with computer systems and software applicationsAbility and willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies, including AI tools and platformsKnowledge of privacy legislation (e.G., FIPPA)Promotes and embodies inclusiveness and respect within the workplace and the broader communityStrong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear written/verbal communicationExcellent writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skillsAbility to coach, mentor, and motivate students, including identifying risk and making appropriate referralsDemonstrates empathy, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential situationStrong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills,
