Seasonal Contract Full time Mississauga, ON, CAThe Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) is a nationally incorporated charity with chapters in 13 cities across Canada. We are currently seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic and well organized Tarbiyyah Lead to join the school team. Reporting directly to the school Principal, the Tarbiyyah Lead responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Duties and Responsibilities:Manages the implementation of the Tarbiyah Framework and Islamic Values Vision and supports teachers in effectively implementing and integrating the conceptsAligns school wide activities with our Tarbiyyah vision and Islamic ValuesOversees the integration/ reflection of our Islamic values into overall school culture and environmentSupports, guides, and trains teachers and school staff to effectively implement the Islamic values components, sessions and resourcesSets up and manages teacher teamsEnsures that workshops are booked and scheduled for all classes.Coordinates between teachers and Tarbiyyah central team to ensure implementation of workshops.Ensures Teacher collaboration and support by follow-up with regular meetingsProvides schedules for classes and daily announcement remindersOrganizes assemblies per term to reinforce and celebrate a specific valueMaintains Islamic Spirit in schoolOversees end of year Tarbiyyah challenge,
including training and teacher followupCompletes required reports to be submitted to the Tarbiyyah central teamIs the contact person between the school and the Tarbiyyah central team and provides feedbackQualifications:Bachelors of Education (highly recommended)Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in EnglishAbility to work within a team, with integrity, enthusiasm, initiative and confidenceInterpersonal skills with an emphasis on compassion, patience and professionalismSound knowledge of Islamic faith and practiceBackground and experience in character education and Islamic schoolsStrong organizational and time management skillsProven ability to plan activities and eventsProven ability to manage a teamCompensation:Starting salary range depends upon education and experienceMuslim Association of Canada is committed to fair and equitable recruiting practices in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA).
