This is his first time receiving qualified care, and the family is looking for someone who can provide reliable short-term support during his four-week recovery period starting September 1st.About the Client: Our client is recovering from knee replacement surgery and will spend one week in hospital rehab before returning home. He uses a walker and requires assistance with mobility, personal care including bathing and dressing, and medication reminders. He needs supervision for safety due to cognitive considerations. His wife will be home but has her own medical conditions and cannot provide physical care. Prior to surgery, he was the primary driver for household errands and grocery shopping.Responsibilities:Assist with morning routine including getting out of bed, bathing, and dressingSupport evening routine and preparation for bedProvide mobility assistance using walker, including navigating stairsMedication reminders and assistanceLight housekeeping and tidyingTransportation to and from physiotherapy appointmentsAccompany client's wife on essential errands and grocery shoppingSupervision for safety throughout the dayPost-surgery recovery support and monitoringWhat We're Looking For:Professional PSW with Canadian training and certificationExperience with post-surgical care and recoveryComfortable assisting with walker and mobility devicesPersonal care experience including bathing supportValid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportationCalm, patient demeanor with excellent communication skillsAbility to make clients feel comfortable and respectedReliable and consistent with positive energyExperience working with elderly clients and cognitive supervisionSchedule: Daily support for four weeks starting September 1st.
