This role is well suited to a healthcare professional who values independent work, organization, and collaboration.Based in Weyburn, the Lab Technician supports nursing students simulated learning through the daily operation of clinical skills labs. Reporting to the Provincial Lab Manager in Prince Albert, the role requires independence, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.Working primarily independently,



the Lab Technician collaborates with instructors and colleagues across the province to support consistent lab standards and operations. The position involves changing priorities, deadlines, and moderate physical activity, requiring adaptability, time management, and strong customer service skills.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport nursing clinical skills labsPrepare, maintain, and clean lab spaces and equipmentEnsure equipment, manikins, and task trainers are operationalPerform routine equipment maintenanceMaintain supplies and inventoryCollaborate with the Provincial Lab Manager on lab needsMaintain a qualified lab environmentSupport safe and effective lab deliveryPerform other related duties as assignedEducation: Grade 12 requiredNursing education required; preference given to former RN, LPN, or CCA registrantsExperience: Minimum 2 years of healthcare-related experienceSkills and AttributesAbility to work independentlyStrong organizational, communication, and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesCollaborative and strong interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic scheduling tools
