As the business expands across North America, this role plays a key part in ensuring sound internal controls, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness across a diverse group of operating companies. This position offers a strong path for career advancement, either within the internal audit function or through broader corporate or operational roles.ResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct risk assessments across multiple business unitsDevelop and execute internal audit plans in collaboration with the audit teamLead operational, financial, and compliance audits, including governance requirementsPresent clear, actionable recommendations to improve systems and controlsFollow up with business leaders to ensure audit recommendations are implementedDocument and improve policies, procedures, and best practices across departmentsIdentify internal control gaps and support policy developmentDeliver training to staff on internal controls and audit findingsAssess IT systems for security, compliance,



and control effectivenessSupport external auditors during year-end auditsHandle fraud investigations and participate in M&A audit activitiesTake on special projects as directed by senior leadershipRequirementsCPA designation and university degree requiredExperience with operational, financial, or IT auditsStrong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk assessment methodologiesFamiliarity with Canadian corporate governance regulationsSkilled in business process documentation and analysisExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience presenting to or working with Audit CommitteesLeadership or mentoring experience in audit settingsAdvanced certifications such as CIA, CFE, or CCSA (or willingness to obtain)Knowledge of manufacturing or distribution operations, especially costingExperience with audit work in mergers and acquisitionsExposure to fraud investigations and IT auditsSkills in data extraction and manipulationRemuneration$80,000 - $95,000 with advantages.Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered
