In this full time, permanent position within the Employment Services Department, you will significantly impact youth facing challenges such as homelessness and mental health. Your responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing support in education pathways, and collaborating with community partners. Engage directly with students to advocate for their educational needs and successes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with educators to enhance student engagement • Conduct assessments to identify barriers to learning • Provide counseling and educational planning services • Support youth with career options and post-secondary transitions • Coordinate educational bursary application processes
Requirements: • Diploma or degree in related fields • Two years of experience with marginalized youth • Knowledge of education systems and financial aid • Strong communication and assessment skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management databases
