The RPN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, ensuring it is evidence-informed, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, person-centered, and recovery-oriented.The RPN collaborates closely with healthcare professionals in a safe and secure environment, ensuring quality care for patients undergoing treatment for mental health and addiction challenges. Much of the RPN's role involves direct interaction with patients, fostering therapeutic relationships and support.Registered Psychiatric Nurses may encounter exposure to blood, bodily fluids, infectious diseases, chemicals, and other safety hazards.
