AFIMAC Canada is seeking experienced 2nd Class Powerhouse Engineers for an upcoming, temporary assignment in South Western OntarioThis position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5-7 days per week when assigned to a project.You will earn:$60.00 per hour before overtimeHotel Accommodations Provided (when required)$30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)Contract Duration: 1 - 120 daysJob Responsibilities:Ability to operate a Cogen plant – 3 5MW units with Solar Gas TurbinesOperation of both water treatment and plant air systems.Complete all required log entries, records and reports accurately and on-timeCheck, inspect, monitor and maintain the operational integrity of plant services equipment by troubleshooting and following up on all equipment failures in a timely manner; inclusive of minor repairsTroubleshoot water treatment issues within the plant.Ability to operate plant cooling water systems and city water booster pump systemPerform required testing on equipment and systems (water treatment, oil sampling, boiler controls, etc.) .Off load trucks of process aids and maintenance materials (upon occasion)Monitor fire systemInventory maintenance of chemicals and suppliesCollaborate with other departments as required to ensure secure and efficient operationsPerforms all required duties safely, efficiently and within required housekeeping, safety and environmental standardsRespond to emergency situations,
