Registered Veterinary Technician | $26–$35/hour | $2,500 Sign-On BonusLocation: Toronto, OntarioSchedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts OR three 12-hour shiftsCompensation: $26–$35/hour + $3/hour Overnight Differential + $2/hr weekend premium + $2,500 Sign-On BonusCentral Toronto Veterinary Referral & Emergency Clinic (CTVRC/EC) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Specialty animal hospital in Toronto, Ontario. This is an prospect for a Veterinary Technician to build advanced ER, Critical Care, and specialty medicine skills while working alongside an experienced referral hospital team.As a Veterinary Technician at CTVRC/EC, you'll support complex emergency cases, collaborate with specialists, and continue growing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment focused on high-quality patient care.Compensation$26–$35/hour based on experience and skillset$3/hour shift differential for hours worked between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM$2/hour shift different for weekends$2,500 sign-on bonusFull-Time Benefits:OAVT annual dues reimbursement.Continued education support.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance, plus access to an Employee Assistance Program.RRSP matching programStaff pet allowance, paid sick days, and paid personal days.Uniform(s) providedAccess to VetBloom (RACE-approved CE)Veterinary Technician Education ScholarshipsScheduleFour 10-hour shifts OR three 12-hour shiftsDays, evenings, and overnight opportunities availableRotating weekends (typically every other weekend)ResponsibilitiesTriage and assess emergency patients presenting with shock, trauma, toxicity, acute illness, and other critical conditionsPerform and document patient evaluations and treatmentsAssist with advanced procedures including thoracentesis, ultrasound procedures, central line placement, epidurals, and other specialized treatmentsProvide exceptional nursing care for hospitalized and outpatient casesPerform patient monitoring, TPRs, catheter placement and maintenance, wound care,



and rehabilitation supportAssist with diagnostic testing and treatment plansSupport surgical procedures from patient preparation through anesthesia monitoring and recoveryDeliver compassionate patient care and exceptional client communicationCollaborate closely with emergency veterinarians, specialists, and support staff to ensure outstanding patient outcomesQualificationsGraduate of an OAVT-accredited Veterinary Technician programRegistered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred, or eligible to obtain registrationPassed or currently preparing to write the VTNEOAVT membership in good standingInterest in emergency and critical care medicineStrong technical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentCommitment to patient care, client service, respect, and accountabilityFluent English speaking and reading skills requiredAbout Central Toronto Veterinary Referral & Emergency ClinicCTVRC/EC is a premier specialty referral and emergency veterinary hospital serving Toronto and the surrounding region.
