From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.We are seeking a Accounts Payable to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for processing full cycle accounts payable for 4-5 locations as well as completing other accounting functions required by the Accounts Payable Manager.Day to DayCode and post expenses accurately within the system,
ensuring all required approvals are obtained and documentedInvestigate and resolve coding and invoicing discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain accurate and organized filing of all accounts payable documentationPrepare and process weekly cheque runs, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and wire paymentsRespond promptly and professionally to internal and external accounts payable inquiriesMaintain and update vendor accounts to ensure accurate recordsManage vendor portals and monitor aged payables to support timely payment processingMaintain regular communication with Accounts Payable contacts across locationsContribute to Accounts Payable projects and continuous process improvement initiativesPerform other related duties as assignedWhat You'll BringA minimum of 2 years working in an accounting rolePost-secondary education in Business or Accounting is a definite assetExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced team environment and meet important deadlinesExceptional time management and prioritization skillsAdvanced problem solving skills and attention to detailAbility to handle a large volume of work accurately and efficientlyAdaptable to process changes & quickly learn new Accounting systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)P&H does not use artificial intelligence or automated decision-making tools to screen, assess, or select applicants.
