Wikwemikong Health Centre seeks a dedicated Psychologist to deliver culturally secure mental health services in Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. Focus on assessments, therapeutic interventions, and community collaboration.
In this specialized role, you will provide psychological assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to Indigenous children and families. Your work will prioritize mental wellness and seamless service for clients. Collaborating with internal and external health providers, you will ensure an effective continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for community members • Develop and implement culturally relevant treatment plans • Prepare and maintain psychological reports and documentation • Promote mental health awareness through community education • Respond to crises while managing high-risk behaviors
Requirements: • Doctoral degree in Psychology needed • Registration or eligibility for Ontario's Psychologists College • At least three years of clinical experience required • Knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices is beneficial • Valid Class “G” driver’s license necessary
