Make a difference in young lives as the Child & Youth Coordinator at Shawanaga First Nation Healing Centre. This full-time role combines program development with cultural engagement to support youth and children. You’ll work collaboratively with a team to enhance the well-being of children aged 7-12 and youth aged 13-24. Your role involves implementing life skills, nutrition, and exercise programs, all rooted in Indigenous teachings. Building strong relationships with community partners and families is crucial for your success in this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate programs that support youth development
- Collaborate with traditional teachers and Elders
- Ensure cultural teachings are integrated into all programs
- Analyze program outcomes and communicate findings
- Participate in community events and outreach efforts Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of related work experience
- Solid understanding of Indigenous cultural practices
- First Aid/CPR certification or readiness to obtain
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
