This is a full-time permanent position, requiring rotating day, afternoon, and night shifts.The Senior Wind Tunnel Operator is responsible for setting up and executing experiments adhering to the prescribed test program and quality standards.Department Wind Tunnel Employment Type Permanent - Full Time Location Guelph,



ON Workplace type Onsite Compensation $50,000 - $60,000 / year Reporting To Cory DeanKey ResponsibilitiesThe Role Includes But Is Not Limited ToPhysical assembly of the test model onto the testing platformPhysical assembly of testing sensors into the wind tunnelPhysical connection of sensors to data acquisition equipmentConfiguration of various software programs to facilitate data collectionEnsure physical test setup meets quality control standardsEnsure acquired data meets quality control standardsCommunication and collaboration with internal and external team membersSafe operation of equipment and toolsFollowing SOPs in relation to handling and operating equipment and instrumentationPerforming all duties effectively to meet project timelinesPlease note, this is a week day position (Monday - Friday), on a 2 week rotation of day, afternoon and night shifts.Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseCandidates Need To Also Have The Following QualificationsHands-on skills relating to carpentry or physical assembly of components, including the use of various hand and power toolsTechnologically inclined and competent using windows-based programsExcellent attention to detail in both physical and computer environmentsLogical thinker with good judgement and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work with commitment and accuracy under pressure to successfully meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to lift 50lbsSelf-starter and able to work independently and as part of a teamPost-Secondary education in Instrumentation Technology is considered an assetJob BenefitsWhat We OfferAn chance to redefine possibleSalary range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 (based on experience)Shift premium for afternoon and night shiftsGroup health benefitsProactive and ongoing training, education, and a Learning Spending AccountFitness Spending AccountAn abundance of career paths and opportunities to advancEThank you in advance for your application.
