Our Distribution group is currently looking to add a Utilities Labourer to our team, based in Sherwood Park, AB.Reporting to the Lead Hand, we are seeking an experienced construction Labourer to help install shallow-utilities (power, gas and telecommunications) in recent subdivisions in and around the Edmonton area. This position requires the ability to work long hours working outdoors, working as a cohesive group.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet telecom peds, precast bases, sanding trench, moving materialLay power cable, telecom pipe, gas pipe in trenches up to 1.5m deepOperate jumping-jacks, and other handheld or portable equipmentOperate skidsteer and backhoe at times safely onsiteRead and understand construction drawings for specific tasks givenComplete time sheets, vehicle pre-trip inspections and other paperwork as assignedPerform all other duties as assigned by supervisorsExperience in a team-oriented construction environmentMust have a valid Class-5 driver's license and an acceptable drivers abstractMust have own vehicle to get to siteMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outside for extended periods of timeMust be flexible to working varying hoursStrong team member with a positive attitudeThis position offers an hourly rate of $23/hr.We offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that incorporates a complete range of employee benefits, to ensure you have the tools necessary to manage, maintain,
