This role is ideal for an individual looking to advance their career in a skilled, safety-focused, and supportive environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced journeypersons and project team members on commercial, industrial and institutional projects.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation of Mechanical related equipment and components.Perform sheet metal installations, repairs, and system modifications in accordance with drawings and specificationsSupport commissioning and start-up activitiesWork on complex Mechanical projects throughout the GTA and surrounding areasMaintain accurate work documentation and reportsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, teammates, contractors, consultants, and clientsRepresent the company professionally on all job sitesAdhere to all company policies and procedures.Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, Environmental company policies, Government legislation/regulations and union requirements.Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices.Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures.Read blueprints, specifications,
determine layouts and material take offs for mechanical systemsPerform other duties as assigned by Management.QualificationsRegistered 3rd, 4th or 5th Year Sheetmetal Apprentice (308A required)Member in good standing with UA Local 30Gas Technician License (preferred)Must have experience with the installation of Ductwork, venting & appliance installationsStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environment.Excellent work ethic with a strong commitment to safetyUnderstanding of Mechanical Installation and repairs.Valid Ontario Drivers License with a clean driving record.Excellent Math and problem-solving skills.Able to maintain RCMP, Public Works Reliable clearance statusMust be able to lift heavy materials, tools and equipment when requiredUp to date knowledge of local plumbing codesStrong Verbal Communication, Stress- and Time-Management SkillsThe pay range is $28.24 to $39.48 per hour.
