and environmental issues.Acting as a key advisor to project teams,anticipatingandidentifyinghazards andappropriate protectivemeasures.Providing health and safety input to design, planning,constructabilityand/or operabilityreviews.Managing and reducing risks to workers and the public within a liveand complexoperating client site.Undertakinghealth and safetyassurance auditsPerforming and documenting regular site safety inspections,andfacilitatingtimelycorrective actionsAssistingwith incident and accident investigations.Liaising withclientstaff and regulatory agencies,Preparingdetailed professionalreportsand records.What You Need for SuccessCertificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or certification in a construction trade withsignificant health andsafetyexperience.Fieldexperiencein construction or a high hazard operational environment (Minimum: Associate – 1 year)CRSP, CSP, CHST, CIH or ROHdesignation.Strong working knowledge of Ontarioworkplace health and safety laws.Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and digitalhealth and safetyreporting tools (computers, tablets).Hands-on experience with field-level audits and inspections.Stronginterpersonal,verbaland writtenycommunication skills.Initiative, ability to multitask, and strong expectation management skills.Strong work ethic and career-oriented mindset.Completion ofpractical training in key safe work practices(Working at Heights, WHMIS, Ontario 4/5 Steps, LOTO, Confined Spaces, etc.)Valid ClassGdriver's license.Equal Prospect EmployerCrossSafetyis committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.
